A Post I Tried to Make to Frank @ Orrin's BLOG

Frank,

As Orrin quotes Einstein:

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

We are in the political and moral quagmire due to TWO parties. Both the Republican and Democrat.
We all know the lack of moral leadership in the Democrat party. But here is the problem with the Republican party.
a) Their big business at the expense of the working person agenda, the common man has no voice. The Republican vote goes to the highest bidder.
b) The Republican party is suppose to be for free enterprise, free market and free competition, however they have made it possible for just a few companies to dominate markets. Without competition prices go up. Look at gas prices for example. I know the common answer they only make a few cents per gallon of gas pumped, while this may be true for completed refined product, it is only one small part of their profit stream. The end products of gasoline, diesel fuel, and home heating oil has no bearing on the core of their profits: They OWN the fields, wells, the oil, the transportation companies, the refineries, and the trucking companies. They BENEFIT when oil prices are higher because they do not use 100% of their crude for themselves, they sell it to plastics industries such as carpeting and pharmaceuticals. They benefit from the same principles as Sam Walton did, only for them the product has very little effect on their high margin profits.
c) The Republican claim to be conservative in several areas:
1) In finance, however we have the largest NON Constitutional spending ever while they controlled both legislative branches and the White House.
2) Overturning abortion on demand and partial birth abortion: They controlled both houses and yet did nothing to curb abortion.
3) Bankruptcy: They made it harder for the common man to file for bankruptcy yet left it open for big business to carry on business as usual in order to claim bankruptcy. This hurt the common man through businesses like Enron.
They also sat around and let banks and financial institution make questionable loans that has ended in the debacle we have before us right now. They also allow banks to issue historically high interest revolving credit cards. High interest USE to be 7% however most credit cards "quietly" go from 6 or 7% introductory rates to exhorbotant rates of 15% or higher. This is another reason our economy is busting, with less fungible cash there is less spending on goods and services, thus less economic growth.

One problem with Ron Paul is his desire to take funding away from Israel. God has promised to curse those nations that curse Israel. President Bush (whom I voted for twice and have an autographed picture of) through the Rice doctrine has hamstrung Israel, has made Israel give up it's land for a very tenuous "peace" deal that Hamas could care less about (note they are still sending missiles into Israel while "negotiating" peace). All the Islamic countries have pledged to push them into the sea. With Paul will come a total turning of God's providence on our country.

There is only ONE party that fits the bill of what we need, and until we stop being house slaves to the Republican establishment with the "YOUR VOTE IS A VOTE FOR HILLARY" or whatever Demoncrat is running against the "still go down the tubes at a slower rate" Republican party (I personally don't want to go down the tubes), we will still move towards destruction.
Again there is only one party that can avert this, it is the Constitution Party that is founded on Judeo-Christian principles and a literal original intent reading of the Constitution.

I wasn't ignoring you I was out of town. I don't know Ron Paul's inner thought's on Isreal but I would have to believe that he would not turn his back on Isreal.
here is an article by Dr. Paul if after you read it and if you think he is not a Christian I suggest you right him a letter and see how he responds as for me I have no doubt that he is a lot better man than most people think!

by Ron Paul, Dr. January 5, 2008

As we celebrate another Yuletide season, it’s hard not to notice that Christmas in America simply doesn’t feel the same anymore. Although an overwhelming majority of Americans celebrate Christmas, and those who don’t celebrate it overwhelmingly accept and respect our nation’s Christmas traditions, a certain shared public sentiment slowly has disappeared. The Christmas spirit, marked by a wonderful feeling of goodwill among men, is in danger of being lost in the ongoing war against religion.

Through perverse court decisions and years of cultural indoctrination, the elitist, secular Left has managed to convince many in our nation that religion must be driven from public view. The justification is always that someone, somewhere, might possibly be offended or feel uncomfortable living in the midst of a largely Christian society, so all must yield to the fragile sensibilities of the few. The ultimate goal of the anti-religious elites is to transform America into a completely secular nation, a nation that is legally and culturally biased against Christianity.

This growing bias explains why many of our wonderful Christmas traditions have been lost. Christmas pageants and plays, including Handel’s Messiah, have been banned from schools and community halls. Nativity scenes have been ordered removed from town squares, and even criticized as offensive when placed on private church lawns. Office Christmas parties have become taboo, replaced by colorless seasonal parties to ensure no employees feel threatened by a “hostile environment.” Even wholly non-religious decorations featuring Santa Claus, snowmen, and the like have been called into question as Christmas symbols that might cause discomfort. Earlier this month, firemen near Chicago reluctantly removed Christmas decorations from their firehouse after a complaint by some embittered busybody. Most noticeably, however, the once commonplace refrain of “Merry Christmas” has been replaced by the vague, ubiquitous “Happy Holidays.” But what holiday? Is Christmas some kind of secret, a word that cannot be uttered in public? Why have we allowed the secularists to intimidate us into downplaying our most cherished and meaningful Christian celebration?

The notion of a rigid separation between church and state has no basis in either the text of the Constitution or the writings of our Founding Fathers. On the contrary, our Founders’ political views were strongly informed by their religious beliefs. Certainly the drafters of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, both replete with references to God, would be aghast at the federal government’s hostility to religion. The establishment clause of the First Amendment was simply intended to forbid the creation of an official state church like the Church of England, not to drive religion out of public life.

The Founding Fathers envisioned a robustly Christian yet religiously tolerant America, with churches serving as vital institutions that would eclipse the state in importance. Throughout our nation’s history, churches have done what no government can ever do, namely teach morality and civility. Moral and civil individuals are largely governed by their own sense of right and wrong, and hence have little need for external government. This is the real reason the collectivist Left hates religion: Churches as institutions compete with the state for the people’s allegiance, and many devout people put their faith in God before their faith in the state. Knowing this, the secularists wage an ongoing war against religion, chipping away bit by bit at our nation’s Christian heritage. Christmas itself may soon be a casualty of that war.

Funny I found this from a link on your blog!

I never said he was not a Christian. However copy and paste this "http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/942091.html". In it you will see that he does not want to fund an ally. Defunding Israel would basically bring them to their knees.

I understand your concern with Isreal I understand they are out numbered but there are many ways to be an ally without our ever expanding government stepping out side the lines in which our constitution has bound them. I also believe with a more transparent government the information we need as a people could get the job done more efficiently. Any way there is a lot of ways things could be handled but losing our country will not be good for any of Gods people.

Frank,

I understand that while we supported Israel wholeheartedly our nation was blessed, since we have been pushing them to give up land for peace, our nation has gone down hill in an ever increasing rate. It makes NO sense whatsoever for us to be supporting Muslim countries the way we have after 911 over an ally. We even have a Muslim that is an adviser to the ranking member or the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon who is shown to be a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. And the Chaplain that chose most of the Muslim chaplains is also an associate of an organization that is indicted as a co-conspirator muslim extremist group. Many of those chaplains are still in the armed forces, and the adviser has the highest security clearances for military secrets, etc.
Why would we allow this if we were in our right minds? It makes NO sense, unless God has blinded the minds of those in charge.

Again, we have had a two party system, we have more problems, we get none of the promises kept, yet we keep voting the same groups in.

I am not sure what you are talking about Frank. I believe I have published every comment you have made.

OK OK I see it I apologize!

John,
I really do respect your viewpoint and I am in 100% agreement with you that if we stay the current course, we will define insanity!

Like we've heard Orrin and many of the other great leaders often quote,

"If we fail to learn from our history we're doomed to repeat it"

I have to spend some time catching up on the viewpoints of the candidates, and re-reading Orrin's blogs on how to choose one.

After that I will be better equiped to comment on such things.

In the meantime this was a very interesting debate, thank you for the work that you both put into it.

Hurting Inside,

I first became aware of them about 12 years ago.
I bought into the Republican, (and Rush Limbaugh) argument that a vote for a third party candidate is thrown away of a vote for the Democrat. I now realize I have been throwing my vote away by voting for a party that talks a good game, but never delivers.
An example is just waiting to be proved. 4 years ago John McCain was at war with Evangelicals. Wait until it is clear he will be the nominated Republican candidate and see Evangelicals walking toward him like a puppy that has been scolded.
If Evangelicals would get behind the Constitution party, we would be a power to contend with. Wouldn't it be interesting if each state had to have a run off election because no candidate got majority vote?
As long as we Christians continue to vote for a party that does nothing for us, we should not cry as our country continues to spiral down hill.
I feel about this like I did when I first learned the road I was going down with TEAM. I had no idea that I was headed for a cliff until someone told me about it. I am doing the same thing for you and others who read my blog.
I am offering you a red pill with new insight attached to it.
