What Core Products Would You Like To See In A New MLM?

Most seem to have a vitamin or cosmetic line as their core product lines. One unique one was phone service. Here is your opportunity to voice your opinion as to what a core product would be besides Leadership training.

The most obvious question is what do you purchase most often?

Foodstuffs is the obvious answer. After that, what comes next? Fuel? Vitamins and cosmetics are lower down the line.

Here is your opportunity to let your voices be heard!

I don't know about a "core" product, but I have mentioned to my upline that offering gas cards through the business would be a terrific idea.

Consider how easy it would be to strike up a conversation about the gas prices and you say, "Yeah, I get my gas 25% cheaper."

How hard would it be to sit down with a person after he hears that?

As for the cards, they are already sold at various establishments. They are just pre-paid credit cards, just like the gift cards that you get from various stores.

First, I would like to see the MLM side separate from the Leadership development. Team has evolved into a LDSP, I would like it to stay that way. The MLM would be supported by the leadership development.

I would like to see products that we use anyway, and not just product categories that we use now. The idea of "anyway money" is powerful. With Q products it was difficult to sell that idea, because most of the products were in the same category, but were much more expensive (sometimes higher quality) than what they were "anyway" buying.

Snacks, Vitamins, Food, Cell Phone Service, Auto Purchases, etc.

Fuel....vitamins...some healthy foods..like 100% whole grain muffins or healthy water...at least a couple w/no artificial sweeteners

I hate to get wrapped up in a discussion about particular products, much less brands. Yes, products are important, but the key to sucess is still leadership in community building.

So for me, I'm only concerned with the basic stategy of a product line-up. It has to be "anyway" money type of products that turn over on a regular basis. There are already countless MLM's out there that focus on a particular product or product line-up. They've managed to find their nitch. Something that hasn't been done to get the e-commerce wave to crest and make the leap of fast growth is cost competitive "anyway" products. Large retail has proven that having everything a consumer needs in one place is very powerful and profitable due to volume. The next natural step is to take that model on line with the compelling reason being money. Something has to tip the scale of taking e-commerce main stream for "anyway" purchases that hapen again and again and again. Like can goods, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. etc. etc. You know, like a virtual Walmart. Fact is, Q had a pretty good product line up, the prices were just horrible. It was all there in some fashion, some of it limited, but the skeleton was there. Listen to Orrin Woodwards CD "The Future of Internet Business". He draws the perfect vision. Do that, and we're back to what we are the best at - growing commutties - the 3rd C - the one that will determine who rules the internet and is part of reaping the benefts of the biggest transference of wealth that any encomonmy in the history of our world will ever have seen. The book "The Next Millionaires" spells it out that way to. It hasn't been done yet - somebody is going to do it. Why not us? "Anyway" / "everyday" stuff is the only way to have something for everybody anyhow. It's the only way to sell to the masses instead of the classes.

With that said, I trust our leaders to take care of the commerce side of the business. Those of us that spend too much time waiting for that or worried about that will be left on the dock or the beach when the tide rises. Those that become good at growth and developing leaders who are good at growth are the ones that will experience sucess. The commerce side is childs play for the likes of our leadership. It has been done by far less talented people for generations pre information age.

Hope these comments are inspiring, not insulting. I just don't want to be distracted from what's really important now and I'd hate to see otheres get to caught up in that trap, there's too much at stake for all of us.

Add to the list ... clothing!

I'm the type that needs big & tall men's clothes, and they're not very readily available where I live. I either travel far or order online - and I'd rather order online!

Clothes, shoes, accessories ...

What about insurance? There are so many...from home and auto to cell phones!

ultimately: a varied product line so that you could live in the middle of Montana and never have to visit a store.

but, just to begin with:
health and wellness -> energy drinks

Air Force Energize is a good stopgap until something else becomes available :)

This is great stuff. I personally like the suger free Ripit drinks from Wal-Mart.
Twice as much as the q brand, and in bulk I have seen it for 88 cents per can.

You guys ROCK. Keep the suggestions rolling in.

I agree on the health and wellness line up - energy drinks in paticular. Ripit does have the appeal of resonable cost as well as multiple flavors that actually taste good.

Just a little something I'd personally like is home improvement / hardware. It's amazing to see how much volume and traffic moves through Lowes, Home Depot and the like. Besides - power tools just have a way of relieving stress. So does hunting / fishing / and the adrenaline sports - nothing like having your ammo, cover sent, arrows, etc. waiting for you at deer camp when you get there (it's easy to read for hours on end in a deer blind), or a case of oil, spark plugs, new sliders and studs pull up in the UPS truck just before the snow starts pilling up.

But the volume that going to tip the scales is everday stuff at head to head pricing with big retail.

Grocery items would be GREAT. How about restaurant gift cards? A dvd membership would also be great. Gas cards are super for Cailifonia esp where gas is pricey and people drive everywhere. The cool thing about a new MLM is that it can offer a huge option on the product types offered.
